Intro to Tandem Kayaking at Northerly Island

A two-hour introduction to tandem kayaking on the Northerly Island Park Lagoon, where the paddle route takes you past prairie and wetland wildlife with the Chicago skyline as a backdrop. Basic instruction and all equipment are included, and the program is open to anyone age 8 and up on Monday, August 3, from 4:00 to 6:30 PM. Dress to get wet, bring water and sunscreen, and note that paddlers under 18 need an adult in the boat — the registration system has a team function so you can pair up with the person you'll share the kayak with.
