Want to get your event on Chicago Local Events? Here’s how it works:

Automatic sources

We pull events automatically from the Chicago Park District, Chicago Public Library, OEMC Special Events, and other city-wide sources. If your event is already listed on one of our partner sources, it appears here automatically.

Manual submission (coming soon)

We’re building a self-service submission form that will let neighborhood organizations, community groups, and independent venues submit events directly. In the meantime:

• Are you a neighborhood organization or BID? Email us about becoming a data partner. We can scrape your website or calendar feed if it has a consistent format.
• Have a one-off event? Email us the details and we’ll add it manually.
• Is your event already on a source we cover? It should appear within 24 hours of our next pipeline run. If it’s been longer, let us know.

What we look for

We prioritize events that are:

• Open to the public — free or ticketed, but accessible
• In Chicago — neighborhood events, not suburban
• Listed in a public calendar — park district, library, cultural center, community calendar, or similar

We generally don’t list private events, membership-only gatherings, or commercial promotions.
