Intro to Solo Kayaking at Northerly Island

A guided solo kayak session on the Northerly Island Park Lagoon, with prairie and wetland wildlife and skyline views along the way. The program covers basic instruction and all equipment is included, so it works for first-timers as well as experienced paddlers. Participants should dress to get wet and arrive at least 10 minutes early; youth under 18 need an adult along. The session runs Thursday, August 6, from 8:30 to 11:00 AM. Registration covers a single-person kayak — if you want a two-person boat, look for the tandem version.
