Intro to Kayaking (Solo) at Northerly Island

A guided introduction to kayaking on the Northerly Island Park Lagoon, where paddlers can take in prairie and wetland wildlife alongside skyline views. This Thursday, August 6, from 8:30 to 11:00 AM, participants learn basic strokes and safety from an instructor, with all equipment provided. The session is for solo kayaks (one person per boat); a separate registration covers tandem kayaks. Anyone 8 and older is welcome; youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Dress in quick-dry clothes, bring water and sunscreen, and plan to arrive ten minutes early.
