Chicago Astronomer at Northerly Island

The Chicago Park District's astronomy series sets up professional-grade telescopes on the lakefront for guided stargazing, with an educator on hand to point out planets and deep-space objects visible that evening. The session at Northerly Island Park runs Thursday evening, October 15, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, and includes a short presentation and hands-on telescope instruction. Weather permitting, all ages are welcome; no previous astronomy knowledge needed.
