Breathing, Posture, and Awareness at Jackson Park
On Saturday, August 29, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Rev. Gakudo Midgley of the Daiyuzenji Rinzai Zen Temple leads an introduction to traditional seated meditation in the Osaka Garden. These sessions, held on alternating Saturdays, cover the fundamentals of upright posture, natural breathing, and focused awareness—practical tools for cultivating calm attention. First Saturdays begin at 10 AM for beginners, while all dates welcome continuing practitioners. Registration is capped at 15 and recommended, though walk-ins may be accepted if space allows; bring a yoga mat or towel to sit on.
