Wycinanki: The Art of Polish Paper Cutouts

Wycinanki, the Polish folk art of paper cutting, comes to Portage-Cragin on Monday, October 5, from 3 to 4 PM, led by Grace Bazylewski, a teacher and practitioner with more than 35 years of experience. Participants learn the techniques—cutting, clipping, punching, and carving paper into abstract and recognizable forms—and create a colorful design to take home. This is a hands-on, low-key way to spend an afternoon with an accomplished artist. Registration is required.
