The Heart of the Story at Douglass
Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre brings its concert program to Douglass Park on Friday evening, October 9, from 6 to 8 PM, blending performance with conversation. The evening includes the company's Dance Ensemble and Jazz Orchestra in a roughly 45-60 minute piece that explores culture, race, and identity through choreography that balances confidence and doubt, strength and vulnerability. Company members offer context and invite audience feedback afterward, plus there are interactive activities. The Douglass Park Performing Company opens with "He Turned It," a new work choreographed by Elaine McLaurin about standing up for what's right.
