Teen Open Studio: Clay Bodies

Teen Open Studio at the Ryan Learning Center gives high schoolers a low-pressure run of the Art Institute on a day off from class. On Monday, November 2, from 11 AM to 3 PM, participants can explore the depictions of the human form in *Body and Being in African Art*, then move into Studio B to learn handbuilding techniques in air-dry clay. Designed for ages 13 to 18, the session requires no prior experience; all materials are provided. Admission is free for Chicago teens under 18, and the monthly open studio doubles as a casual third space to make art, snack, and hang out with fellow teen creatives.
