Sounding/BODY: Philomela Fragments with Terns & Ah Young Hong

The International Museum of Surgical Science hosts an evening of world premieres for the uncommon pairing of flute and double bass on Friday, October 16, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Duo Terns—flutist Sasha Ishov and bassist Will Yager—perform alongside soprano Ah Young Hong for the title work *Philomela Fragments* by Michael Hersch, plus premieres by Carlos Bandera and Alexa Rinn. Tickets are $15 in advance general admission, $10 for students and IMSS members with valid ID; door pricing is higher. The program explores the expressive possibilities of instruments occupying opposite ends of the acoustic spectrum.
