Online Class: Life Along the Ever-Changing Nile
A four-session online course meeting Tuesday evenings, January 19 through February 9, from 5 to 7 PM, led by archaeologist Katherine Rose. The class examines how the Nile and its landscapes have shaped — and been shaped by — the civilizations of ancient Sudan and Egypt. Students get an introduction to the tools archaeologists actually use to study past environments, including geoarchaeology, remote sensing, and GIS analysis of LiDAR and satellite imagery. The course also looks at the effect of modern dams on archaeological sites. Registration is $61.
