K-12 Teacher Workshops: Object Based Learning and Artifact Analysis

This workshop series at the Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures gives K-12 teachers a practical toolkit for turning artifacts into primary sources, using observation, inference, and evidence to teach ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt. The first of three free, hour-long sessions happens Monday, October 12, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, with follow-ups on November 9 and December 7. Each session includes lesson-plan PDFs, an introduction to ISAC’s new “museum in a box” program, and a walkthrough of their online teacher resources, led by education staff. Registration is required for the Zoom link, and the sessions are open to all educators.
