A member-exclusive lecture at the Art Institute examines Mary Cassatt’s most innovative period, the years after the final Impressionist exhibition in 1886. Curator Annelise Madsen explores Cassatt’s modernist breakthroughs in painting, pastels, and prints, including her ambitious mural for the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition. The talk takes place Saturday, September 5, from 2 to 3 PM in Rubloff Auditorium. Free for members, with registration required.
