Member Lecture: Mary Cassatt—After Impressionism (Fri)
A member-exclusive curator talk at the Rubloff Auditorium that looks closely at Mary Cassatt's most ambitious period. The lecture marks the centennial of Cassatt's death by focusing on her work after the final Impressionist exhibition in 1886, when she created her best-known paintings, pastels, and color prints. On Friday, September 4, from 11 AM to noon, curator Annelise Madsen discusses Cassatt's modernist breakthroughs as a painter, printmaker, and muralist during the prime years of her career.
