A Saturday morning workshop at the International Museum of Surgical Science that covers two distinct Japanese bookbinding techniques. Over the course of two hours starting at 10:30 AM on December 5, participants learn Yotsume Toji (four-hole stab binding) for a stitched notebook and construct an accordion-style Goshuinchō, the kind of stamp book used at Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples. The class is led by Mami Takahashi, a Japanese multidisciplinary artist, and includes all materials plus museum admission. Priced at $45, it's beginner-friendly and requires no prior experience.
