IMSS Candlelight Haunted Historic Home Tour

The International Museum of Surgical Science opens its historic Gold Coast mansion for after-hours candlelight tours on Thursday, October 15, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, leaning into the season with a haunted Halloween theme. Guests explore the Eleanor Countiss House — built in 1917 and largely unchanged since — by candlelight, hearing stories of the original residents and viewing highlights from the museum’s medical collection. Each one-hour tour covers four flights of stairs; a complimentary reception with light fare follows. Tickets are $30, with discounts for students and IMSS members.
