Hoop Dancing with Starr Chief Eagle at Douglass
Starr Chief Eagle offers an interactive evening of Lakota culture at Douglass Park on Friday, November 6, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. She performs the rare tradition of hoop dancing, using up to 22 hoops to create designs and shapes that tell a story, and volunteers from the audience may be called up for hands-on activities. The presentation also explores Lakota language, art, and knowledge, making this a family-friendly educational experience rather than a passive performance.
