DES across the Atlantic: What Medicine Knew and What Women Lived
British author Claire Silverstone-Bright, a DES daughter and participant in the forthcoming documentary *One Drug, Two Lives*, brings her memoir *A Life Lived Chronically* to the Hall of Immortals at the International Museum of Surgical Science on Thursday evening, November 19, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. The evening offers an early look at documentary clips two weeks before the film's world premiere, alongside readings, a panel discussion with DES daughters and experts, and a transatlantic conversation about how the same drug produced very different outcomes in the United States and Britain. The event gathers voices from across the DES ecosystem—advocates, researchers, clinicians, and those whose bodies carry the drug's legacy—to consider what has changed, what remains unresolved, and how knowledge can be preserved. Free, with registration required.
