Zoning and Land Use 101

A free civic workshop designed to demystify how zoning and land use actually shape Chicago neighborhoods, aimed at residents who want to understand the process well enough to participate in it. On Thursday, October 22, from 5 to 7 PM, the Metropolitan Planning Council leads a session that includes a hands-on exercise in designing a community and mapping its zoning, plus a look at the history of zoning in the city and practical advice on how to show up when decisions are being made. Registration is required.
