
Summer STEM: Build a Candy DNA Model
A hands-on STEM workshop at the Hall branch on Wednesday, July 29, from 3:30 to 4:30 PM, where kids ages 6 to 13 build a DNA double helix model out of licorice, marshmallows, and toothpicks. Jorge Heneche from Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine leads the activity, presented in partnership with the Office of Health Equity. Registration is required by the start of the event, and a parent or guardian's email address must be used to sign up.
