Write at CPL: When Everything Changed: Writing Your Marker Story

Write at CPL returns to the Harold Washington Library Center on Wednesday evening, October 21, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, with a workshop focused on the "marker story" — the pivotal moment that changed everything that came after. Led by Ellen Blum Barish, author of *Seven Springs: A Memoir*, the session guides writers through reading excerpts across genres, discussing what makes an experience a marker, and getting started on their own. Barish brings editorial experience from the literary publication *Thread* and bylines in *The New York Times* and *Brevity*. Registration is required due to limited space; the event is free.
