Write a Letter To America

A letter-writing pop-up in the Grand Lobby of Harold Washington Library invites Chicagoans to put their reflections, critiques, hopes, and stories down on paper as part of a citywide initiative tied to the U.S. semiquincentennial. On Monday morning, August 24, from 10 AM to noon, anyone can write a personal Letter to America using paper and pens provided by the library. The letters will be permanently archived in the Chicago Public Library archives for future generations to discover. No registration needed — just bring your ideas.
