Weird Book Club: Thistlefoot

Weird Book Club is a monthly gathering for adults who read outside the mainstream — science fiction, fantasy, horror, and the genuinely strange. On Monday, August 31, from 7 to 8 PM, the group meets at Map Room in Bucktown to discuss *Thistlefoot* by GennaRose Nettercott, a novel about two siblings who inherit a walking house with chicken legs and take it on the road with a traveling theater troupe. Copies are available at the Bucktown-Wicker Park Branch circulation desk while supplies last, and digital versions are on Hoopla and Libby. This is a 21-and-over event; registration is required.
