A walking tour of the West Loop led by Connie Fairbanks, author of *Chicago’s West Loop Now and Then*, that traces the neighborhood’s evolution from the late 1800s to today. The route covers roughly one mile of sidewalks, passing landmarks like the Pray for Peace sculpture, remnants of the garment district, and the site of Harpo Studios — with a stop to note where the powdered sugar doughnut was perfected. The tour begins at Adams and Peoria Streets near Mary Bartelme Park on Sunday, October 4, at 4 PM, runs 60 to 90 minutes, and ends at Halsted and Madison. Tickets are $25, or $22.50 for members, and include free admission to the Chicago History Museum for one week.
