Walking Tour | Lincoln Park’s Lost History

A Sunday afternoon walking tour that uncovers Lincoln Park’s earlier life as the Chicago City Cemetery, from 1843 until the late 1860s. Guide and researcher Tony Szabelski leads the roughly 90-minute route, pointing out remnants of that past — the Couch Tomb, the site of the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, and the High Bridge — while addressing the cemetery’s displacement after the park was renamed for Abraham Lincoln. The tour starts at the Chicago History Museum at noon and ends at 2122 N. Clark Street; it includes free museum admission for a week. $25 ($22.50 for members).
