¡Viva Cumbia!

A free, hour-long cumbia dance class at Harold Washington Library Center marks Latine History Month with Latin Street Music & Dance Studio. The session covers the basics of cumbia, a style rooted in Colombia's Caribbean coast and shaped by Indigenous, African, and Spanish traditions. It runs Wednesday, October 7, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM in the Loop. No experience is necessary, and the class is open to anyone curious to move.
