TRANSplantas: printmaking posters at Davis Square

Marimacha Monarca Press, the current artist-in-residence at Yollocalli’s satellite studios, leads a series of three free bilingual printmaking workshops at Davis Square Park. Each Saturday session (11:30 AM to 2:30 PM on September 12, plus two more dates) focuses on a different technique — relief printing, cyanotypes, and wheatpasting — drawn from an international print exchange portfolio. Participants make protest posters on issues they care about and take home their own prints, plus get to see a pop-up exhibition of the portfolio work. Attendance across all three workshops is encouraged but not required.
