The Costume Council Presents | Threads of a Nation: A Celebration of Style & Statesmanship

The Costume Council of the Chicago History Museum opens its exhibition on presidential clothing with an evening that includes a talk by fashion historian Timothy Long, cocktails, and a silent auction. The exhibition, *Threads of a Nation*, gathers garments and accessories worn by George and Martha Washington, John Adams, and Abraham and Mary Lincoln, alongside documents that place them in historical context. On Thursday, October 22, doors open at 6:00 PM for self-guided viewing and bidding, with Long’s presentation at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $175 for Costume Council members, $200 for nonmembers.
