Teen Sewing Hour: Costume Edition!
A drop-in sewing hour at the Harold Washington Library Center, this month with a Halloween costume focus. On Tuesday, October 20, from 4 to 5 PM, teens 13 to 19 can use the library's sewing machines and materials to build costumes, mend clothes, or work on any textile project — a librarian will be on hand to help brainstorm ideas. Additional costume-appropriate fabrics and construction supplies will be available alongside the usual sewing resources. Participants may bring materials from home, and a short certification class is offered for those who want to use the machines independently.
