Teen Sewing Hour at the Harold Washington Library Center gives high schoolers ages 13 to 19 a dedicated hour to work on their own textile projects — whether that's sewing accessories, clothes, or plushies, mending rips, or just figuring out how to use a sewing machine. A librarian is on hand to help with technique and ideas, and all materials are provided, though you're welcome to bring clothing or fabric from home. The session runs Tuesday, November 10, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, and includes the option to complete a short certification class for independent machine use in the YOUmedia space.
