Kids ages 6 to 13 can build a candy DNA double helix with licorice, marshmallows, and toothpicks in this hands-on STEM workshop led by Jorge Heneche from Northwestern's Feinberg School of Medicine. The program takes place Wednesday, August 12, from 3:30 to 4:30 PM at the Hall in Grand Boulevard. Registration is required by the start of the event; a parent or guardian's email address must be used, as the library cannot collect personal information from children online.
