Summer Soundwalks in the Park at Big Marsh
The Summer Soundwalks in the Park series returns to Big Marsh Park on Saturday, September 5, from 5 to 7 PM, offering a guided listening experience that blends the natural and urban soundscapes of Chicago. Led by artists and special guests from the Midwest Society for Acoustic Ecology, participants meet at the pavilion and walk the park with attention to auditory detail rather than visual landmarks. It's a contemplative, low-key way to spend a late-summer evening — no headphones required, just an open ear. This is one of six soundwalks in different parks between June and September, each shaped by the particular site and its sonic environment.
