Silent Reading Soiree

The annual Silent Reading Soiree returns to the Winter Garden at Harold Washington Library Center, this year centered on *Orbital* by Samantha Harvey as part of the One Book, One Chicago season. On Wednesday, September 23, from 5 to 7 PM, readers gather for refreshments, activities, and quiet reading. The first 100 attendees receive a free copy of the book. Admission is first come, first served up to 400; doors open at 5 PM. Accessibility requests require at least 14 business days’ notice.
