Shredding & Electronics Recycling Event

A free, drive-through shredding and electronics recycling event in the paver lot at Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, co-hosted by local elected officials and the Cook County Sheriff. Drop off up to two boxes or containers of paper for secure shredding, plus unwanted electronics and expired prescription drugs, on Saturday, August 8, from 10 AM to 1 PM. No registration needed — just swing by, but remove heavy-duty staples and clips from documents beforehand. A practical way to clear out clutter while keeping sensitive materials out of the landfill.
