Saturday Studio: The Painterly Print (Nov 14)

Saturday Studio at the Art Institute’s Ryan Learning Center offers a hands-on afternoon of monoprinting inspired by Mary Cassatt, led by painter Leslie Baum. Participants work from Cassatt’s compositions to experiment with cropping, simplified imagery, and expressive color, producing several personal prints. The workshop runs Saturday, November 14, from noon to 2 PM, and is open to ages 13 and up. Registration includes all materials—printmaking inks and specialty paper—and museum admission is not required. Tickets are $45 for members, $50 for nonmembers, with tuition support available by contacting Nancy Chen.
