Reclaimed Timber at Park No. 571

Reclaimed Timber is an immersive sound-and-light performance from Chicago ensemble Beyond This Point, produced in partnership with Urban Rivers. Six percussionists play on six pieces of wood for an hour, building hypnotic rhythms that blend with the ambient sounds of the Chicago River and the city around Park No. 571. Accompanying the music is a reactive installation of over 5,000 LEDs and 200 paper lanterns. The performance takes place Friday evening, September 4, from 7:30 to 8:30 PM, and involves walking through natural areas near the river.
