Reclaimed Timber at Park No. 571

Reclaimed Timber is an immersive outdoor performance from Chicago ensemble Beyond This Point, produced with Urban Rivers, that sends six percussionists playing on six pieces of wood for a full hour. The hypnotic, layered rhythms blend with ambient sounds of the Chicago River and the city, while a lighting installation made from over 5,000 LEDs and over 200 paper lanterns responds to the music. It takes place Friday, September 4, from 7:30 to 8:30 PM at Park No. 571 in Bridgeport, inviting audiences to wander through the natural areas as the sound and light unfold.
