Pulitzer-winners on Storytelling and America: Percival Everett, Daniel Kraus, Amanda Vaill, Jon Cherry and Jelani Cobb

A conversation between five Pulitzer winners — spanning fiction, biography, and breaking-news photography — marks the launch of the Pulitzer on the Road exhibition at Harold Washington Library. Wednesday evening, October 14, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, 2025 Fiction winner Percival Everett and 2026 Fiction winner Daniel Kraus will appear alongside Biography winner Amanda Vaill, Getty photographer Jon Cherry (part of the 2022 team honored for coverage of the January 6 attack), and Pulitzer board member and Columbia Journalism School dean Jelani Cobb. Doors open at 5 PM in the Winter Garden; seating is first come for 280, with an overflow simulcast in the South Hall. The event is free, also livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook, and archived afterward — books available for purchase but no signing.
