OUT at CHM | North Side LGBTQIA+ Stories Walking Tour

The Chicago History Museum leads a walking tour of the Northalsted neighborhood, tracing the area's role as the first governmentally recognized LGBTQIA+ district in the country. Guide Mike McMains covers spots like the Legacy Walk, community murals, and the Center on Halsted, with a smartphone option to pull up historical photos along the route. The tour meets Saturday, October 24 at 10:00 AM outside the Belmont Red/Brown/Purple Line station and runs 90 to 120 minutes, ending at Center on Halsted. It costs $25, or $22.50 for members, and includes free museum admission valid for a week.
