Open Shop

Open Shop at Harold Washington Library Center is a drop-in session for anyone curious about the library's maker tools and software. Swing by on Thursday, November 5, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM to get a brief software overview, ask for project help, or see what other patrons are making. Equipment on hand includes a laser cutter, electronic cutter, 3D printer, sewing machine, and hot glue guns—no sign-up needed, just bring your own project idea or start from scratch. If you prefer structured learning, the library also runs scheduled workshops and offers an "Ask a Maker" form for remote assistance.
