Open Shop

Open Shop at Harold Washington Library Center is a drop-in window for anyone curious about the library’s maker tools and services. Between 2:00 and 5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 20, you can get a quick software overview, ask about a project, or see what other patrons are making. Equipment available includes a laser cutter, electronic cutter, 3D printer, sewing machine, and hot glue guns. No registration is mentioned; just show up. If you need sign language interpretation or other accessibility support, requests must be made at least 14 business days ahead by calling (312) 747-8184 or emailing access@chipublib.org.
