Open Shop at the Harold Washington Library Center is a drop-in session for anyone curious about the library's maker tools — no registration or class commitment required. On Thursday, October 1, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, you can get a quick software overview, ask about a project, or use equipment like a laser cutter, 3D printer, sewing machine, and electronic cutter. It is a practical, low-pressure way to see what the makerspace offers before signing up for a full workshop.
