Movies in the Parks brings *The Sandlot* to LeClaire-Hearst Park on Friday, August 7. The 1993 classic follows a new kid who joins a ragtag little-league team for a summer of friendship and a legendary encounter with the beast beyond the left-field fence. The 100-minute film is rated PG and closed-captioned; showtime is approximate at 8:30 PM, starting at dusk. Free and open to all.
