Meet Calvin B. Jones: Make a Mini-Mural
Artist Calvin B. Jones spent the 1970s and 80s painting bold, AfriCOBRA-influenced murals across Chicago's South and West sides. This Sunday, September 13, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the Hall in Grand Boulevard, families can learn about his work and the question of whose murals get saved, then make a mini-mural using his signature Cool-Ade colors and African print designs. Presented by the Chicago Public Library's Renaissance Project, the program is hands-on and welcoming to all ages. Registration is required.
