Learn to Make Bioplastics
A hands-on workshop at Harold Washington Library Center where you mix common household items into a workable bioplastic, then take home the method for future experiments. Running Saturday, September 19, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, the session covers how bio-artists use these materials in textiles, wearable pieces, living sculptures, and even interactive electronics that generate sound. Dress for mess — the process gets sticky. Registration is required; accessibility requests must be made at least 14 business days in advance by phone or email.
