Interwoven: Cardboard Loom Weaving
Artist Shaquita Reed leads a hands-on weaving workshop at the Harold Washington Library Center that treats fiber as a medium for personal storytelling. Participants build their own cardboard looms and learn warping and tabby weaving, then incorporate meaningful materials so each finished piece functions as a textured, personal artifact. The workshop runs Saturday, September 12, from 2:30 to 4:00 PM. Sign-language interpretation and other accessibility support are available with 14 business days' notice.
