Hoop Dancing with Starr Chief Eagle at Seward
Starr Chief Eagle brings an interactive presentation on Lakota culture to Seward Park on Saturday, October 17, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. The program explores Lakota language, art, and knowledge, anchored by a performance of hoop dancing — a tradition in which Chief Eagle uses up to 22 hoops to form designs, shapes, and creatures that tell a story. Audience members who want hands-on involvement can volunteer as hoop dancers when called upon.
