History of Jamaican Music at Ada
The History of Jamaican Music arrives at Ada (Sawyer Garrett) Park on Saturday, August 1, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, presented by Ifficial Reggae Movement. The program blends live performance with storytelling, using guitar, keys, bass, and percussion to explain how each instrument contributes to the signature Jamaican sound. Both youth and adults get a chance to try rhythms, explore the instruments, and hear the cultural context behind the music. It is a family-friendly, interactive afternoon rather than a passive concert.
