Hands Mending Hearts: Introduction to Mending

On a Saturday afternoon, September 26, from 2:30 to 4:00 PM, textile artist Janet Yang leads a mending workshop at Harold Washington Library Center. Participants choose from fabric scraps that would otherwise be discarded, learning basic mending stitches rooted in traditional Korean textiles. Each person finishes with a small patchworked piece shaped by their own story or intention. Registration is required; accessibility accommodations are available with 14 business days' notice.
