Flutter into Fall
Flutter into Fall is the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum's annual monarch migration celebration, this year falling on Saturday, September 5 from 10 AM to 2 PM. The day includes monarch tagging with the museum's entomologist, a craft station run by the National Museum of Mexican Art, a nature walk focused on pollinators with artist Tara Preston, and a performance by Xochitl-Quetzal Aztec Dance Company. Museum members can enter an hour early at 9 AM for a sensory garden exploration. The scheduled butterfly release into the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven happens at 11:30 AM and 2 PM. The price advertised as both free and a general admission fee is confusing — the ticket covers museum entry and the butterfly haven, and Museums for All pricing is available on request.
